Milkshake...?

Can we not have milkshake? I really didn't know this, I find the taste of milk absolutely FOWL and have had millions of banana milkshakes for the calcium I hope it's nothing seriously bad xx

its jus from macdonalds (nd places like this) that u can't have milkshake from... this is due to the risk of listeria (like mr whippy ice cream).
but i've had mr whippy nd mcflurry's loads nd me nd baby are fine.

Home made ones like nesquick etc are fine. It's just ones from a machine, like mcdonalds, that are a problem.

And mr whippys, I heard about the risk, but when you need a 99 then you have to have it!!!

The milkshakes from maccie d's are fine!!! The machines are cleaned out every day due to h&s.

I've had loads. Can't get better than strawberry milkshake thru the summer!!

I've had loads ov maccies milkshake n flurries too!.. they're fine, my friend works there n told me they clean it often n comply with hygine regulations.

As long as the machines are cleaned (as most will be to comply with health regulations) you should be fine. If your McD's is gross then I'd probably skip the milkshake...

Wouldn't they have heaps of sugar in them? I've been trying so so hard to avoid sugar, everything I eat has been 5% sugar or less. It's hard, but I used to eat too much.

Lukily for me I LOVE milk, especially the really trim stuff.

Yea its the mcdonalds ones, its the risk of listeria, same with Mr whippy ice cream its the bacteria that can grow in the ice cream, it is very very rare in the UK but the warnings there as there is a slight risk. Its a personal choice, i had a sneeky soft boiled egg yesterday cos i was craving it so bad you've just got to be aware of the risk and make your choice from there i guess. Listeria is pretty much a form of food poisoning but it can be fatal to the baby

yea ive had whippy type ice cream a couple of times and me and bubs have been fine! i think its more in high doses 2bh... listeria is more rare these days as all eggs and dairy products are usually treated so that they dont carry the risk... hence the lion stamp of approval haha
