Mind doing overtime anyone had this

Went for 28 week midwife apt last week and i was measuring 31 week had not heard results of GD test so rung hospital and was told that it is fine and dont have now a little worried as to why baby is so far ahead - had to change doctors and midwifes as moved areas with my OH so got midwife apt 2morrow with new one hope this sheds some light as cant help but worry !!

I don't think that measurements are at all accurate for determining how big the baby is - there are any number of reasons (besides a big baby) for measuring ahead - water retention, excess amniotic fluid, your own general shape and size, possibly how high or low you are carrying. To determine it more accurately )and even then it is not totally accurate - you would need a growth scan.

Try not to worry. Maybe ask for a growth scan or see if they offer you one but remember that even growth scans can be 10% out either way and in some cases if measurements are not taken well during the scan because the baby is so big by this stage then they can be even more inaccurate.
