Hi everyone
After failed TTC attempts (naturally, with Metmorfin, Clomid, Gonal-F+trigger and IUI, a miscarriage (blighted ovum), a very large cyst that had to be aspirated, my doctor and I decided to move on to IFV. Currently I am on a Femara cycle (we triggered yesterday) and TI. I have a history of PCOS, endometriosis, absence of ovulation, absence of periods, hormonal imbalances and thin lining. Furthermore, I have a small uterus. I was on the pill for more than 10 years and started TTC just more than a year ago after discontinuing the pill. My tubes are fine and DH is fine too. I am turning 29 in a month. (This is starting to become longer than my CV!)
To get to my question:If this cycle fails (again!) we need to decide between mini IVF and conventional IVF. The mini IVF has a lower success rate because it uses minimal stimulation and produces fewer mature follicles. However, it is less expensive than conventional IVF (although not a great deal and we have the option of buying a package of three conventional IFVs for about the same price as two mini IVFs. I know this is up to us to decide what to do, but I was hoping you could give me some pointers on how to decide and share your similar experiences. I am particularly interested in hearing about your experiences with mini IFV.
Thank you!
