Miscarriage 7 weeks ago. Pregnant again at 4 weeks. I need advice x

I had a miscarriage 7 weeks 2 days ago now. Got my af 20 days later. And am now 4 weeks pregnant again. Problem I am bleeding quite heavily.. Just a tad lighter than my usual af. Been bleeding for 6 days now and been having positive tests for 3 or 4 days except Im not due my period for another 2 days yet! So.. Went to see the doctor who has told me this is a chemical pregnancy and I should pass the 'products' in the next week or so but to class it as my normal period and not a miscarriage. I want to cry. Anyway I got told by a friend of mine that my tests should not be getting stronger if I was about to have a chem! Please someone help me or share ur experiences with me I will upload pics of all hpts inamin thanks x

Hi Stazzminibbz, I'm sorry that you are going through this. I hate to say it Hun, but I think your Dr might be right. You will still show as positive on a HPT as you still have HCG in your system (I remember taking a HPT after a D&C and not understanding why it was still showing positive). It is such a heartbreaking time. Thinking of you and big hugs. Xxx

I know the hcg stuff. My last miscarriage I needed to take tablets was 7 weeks 5 days and wouldnt pass naturally. Wanted to start trying straight away so took hpts everyday until I got a neg each time line getting fainter. So Im presuming now my tests should also be gettin lighter however theyre gettin much stronger everyday. Am I just clinging onto false hopes? Cant cope with keep going through this everytime I am pregnant x

I've never had a chemical pregnancy before so maybe someone else could offer some better advice?? Please?
I'm just concerned that you have been bleeding so similar to your AF for several days and the Dr has advised that it isn't viable. I'd say see what happens in a couple more days with the HPTs, but I know when you don't know what is happening, that seems like a lifetime away... The other option is to perhaps see another Doctor if you dont have confidence in what you are being told.

I am sorry your going through such a tough time, you must feel in total limbo! I don't know much about chemical pregnancies or how they work so I cannot comment, doctors have been known to get it wrong, if your really worried I would ask the doctor to run a HCG blood test you could get one tomorrow and then on Monday, if your numbers are rising thats a good sign, however I do think that bleeding and being in pain isnt a good sign it wasnt for me at least and we can only go on our own experiances. I do wish you all of the best and hope that everything turns out for the better. x

The difference between a chemical pregnancy and miscarriage is that a miscarriage happens the day after ur missed period a chemical is when u miscarry the day of, or before ur period was due. So they make out u are not pregnant at all its just an early period or heavy period even tho u have a positive test right infront of u at the docs office they tell u its a false positive lol but to me this is still a loss x

is that what it was? or are you still no clearer on whats happening? I am so sorry for the horrible time your having!

I wont know for another 2 weeks I have to go back if my tests are still positive and they will either do bloods or early scan to see if there is a baby or not x

Oh really, I wouldn't be happy with that, can you not speak with another docotor and ask for your bloods to be done, 2 weeks in limbo is bad enough in the 2ww but to go through it some more is totally unfair, I really hope you get the news you are wanting x

The screwed up thing is they wont do anything because I have a 35 day cycle so in reality Ive got bfps and Im not even due an af for another 2-3 days. So they are treating this as false positive tests and chemical pregnancy but if I had a typical 28 day cycle they would class it as a miscarriage and let me be checked out its awful x

I don't know where you are but we have a local clinic to us that you can pay to have your hcg tested, £25 a time so it costs £50 you can find these tests available in most fertility clinics, you could google!

I remember when I first found out I was pregnant I was worried so much I was going to lose the baby that I went to the doctors and asked for an early scan, I spoke of my concerns and the doctor was very blunt and told me what will be, will be and a scan wouldnt help things either way, It really upset me, he did send me for the scan, I think the sheer look of terror on my face pushed him, I would speak with another doctor and really push for it! x
