3 wks ago i started spotting and being concerned as i was i called the on call MW team who reassured me that all was fine spotting was not that uncommon during pregnancy and can happened so unless it was acccompanied by and pain etc or indeed continued then not to be to worried anyhow for the next few days i had nothing no aches no more bleeding and i thought i had all cleared up but the thursday of that week i was back so i made myself an appointment to see the doctor. When i seen him he done his usual checks of my BP etc and examnined me asked how the bleeding was etc and said to be on the safe side he'd arrange for me to go and have a scan but to take an overnight bag incase i had to stay. So theat same day we travelled up to the hospital and went to the ward and was takent o a side room where they ahd a scanner and was told to wait. In the meantime they done there checks of BP etc and after waiting an age the doctor arrived and asked loads of questions and then said she's scan me she was there for ages going over my tummy and tbh i knew something wasnt right by the look on her face its them she turned to us both and said im sorry to say but im 99 percent sure i cant find your baby's heartbeat and it was then at that point our word come crashing down around us.
She said at that point go away have some more to drink and then come back where theyd have the sonographer re-scan me which we did and all in this time i thought she'd made a mistake and that that bubs was lying awkwardly or something like that. Anyhow aftera 2hr wait they finaly come to re-scan us andthe songrapher conrimed and agreed with the doctor that there was no heartbeat and bubs had died. All i remember seeing was this perfectly still image but no movement. We were kept waiting another 2 hrs after that before the doctor seen us again to discuss out iptions whic out of them all we could only go with the medical management where th same day i had to take a tablet called Mifepristone which then blocks the hormone and allows everything to detach itself and then 48 hrs later i would be admited to the ward where id then recieve upto 6 lots of a tablet called Misoprotol.
