Thank you for all of your kind words. When this happens (particularly in your very first pregnancy) you feel very alone and wonder why you. All of you ladies have made me feel like there is support and that this terrible thing is actually quite common.
It's been about 10 days since my ERPC and 2 weeks since I had my scan. It is slowly getting easier. Hubby and I decided to tell our close family as they were all here at Xmas, and they have been very supportive. Turns out that many family members have had similar experiences.
So, my aim now, is to get fit and well again. The ERPC was ok. I must mention that as it's a scary thought if you have to have one. It was a simple procedure, and I had no complications. I only bled for about a week, and all my pregnancy symptoms have gone. So onwards and upwards. We have been advised to wait for another cycle before we try again, and to be honest, for sanity's sake I think that's a good idea. But we will try again. But i have to prepare myself that it may not happen again straight away. So am going to try and get back to normal life, and see what happens.
If nothing else, this whole experience has just proved to hubby and I how much we want to have a child, and how sure we are about that. It has also proved how strong we are together, and i am thankful for that. You often hear of couples splitting up through the strain.
I'll keep everybody posted, but thanks so much you are helping me through!!
