We've had a boy name picked out since before finding out dd was a girl. Now we are having a boy but because we've had the name so long it just doesn't feel as special. I think I've got use to it too much in a way. It also feels different because a few people know the name from before but no one knew dd name until after she was born. I still like the name and oh loves it and we have no other alternatives. Has anyone else had their name picked out for a long time? Is it wrong to not really be excited by it even though I still love it? The name is Connor Jack (Jack is oh deceased grandads name so has meaning).

We had two boy names picked out long before we had kids. We just both liked the names and agreed on them and they stuck. So once we found out we were pregnant, it just became their name. In a way it was kind of nice and familiar, like they had already been part of our family for so long.

Now we're on baby#3 and we have no names! No boy no girl, nothing. We cant seem to agree either hahaha Its awful having to make these decisions, with the back and forth--I much prefered just knowing :flower:

I have had a girls name picked for awhile (hoping this baby is a girl so I can finally use it=)) ds2 name we heard one day and said if we ever have a boy that's what it will be! So my names have been around for awhile and still found them special=)

I understand, I also fell out of love with most of the names I loved so much..None of what I considered with my first son has been a thought this time around..though it took me until 3 days after he was born to pick a name hehh..this time we have picked the name already and honestly it feels good to have it set. I don't know if I could have used one of the names from before though, for some reason they seem to become stale unless they are the name of your child already and then it just becomes who they are.
