sorry if this has already been asked but is it ok too mix milk. alfie is currently on aptamil 1st milk ready made, but Is it ok to mix the ready made with the powdered formula?
also, would it be ok to give alfie a carton of aptamil hungry
milk every night before bed? q
thanks.

No you don't mix the premade formula's with the powder formula.

That would be an overconcentrated amount of vitamins and could upset his tummy big time!!

You mix the powder with formula. Usually it's 2 oz for every scoop.

Nothing wrong with giving him milk before bed, my daughters got milk before bed (and of course throughout the night if they wanted it). He's only 4 months old so I can't imagine that he stays full all night unless he's been trained to sleep through the night (meaning he's still hungry but you ignored the cries until he stopped crying and now sleeps through the night...you know the Cry it Out method).

I think you misunderstood me. what I mean is give him ready to drink formula when we are out and about, and powdered formula when we are indoors. not literally mixing the two together.

also it said, giving my child hungry milk before bed. obviously I would give him a bottle before he goes to sleep. he has been sleeping through the night but just recently the original milk
is no longer satisfying him throughout the hole night.

yea u can gve him pre made milk aswell. nd it wont do ne harm givin him hungry baby b4 bed but it does upset sum babies even tho my lo is fine on it. x

yeah, you can mix and match. I give Freddie Aptamil ready mixed when im out and about, then comfort aptamil at home. its no bother. x

Hey, yep you can do that. I use powdered formula at home and cartons when I'm out and about. He has also had just cartons for longer periods (when we go away over the weekend for example) and then gone back to powder at home with no problems. As for giving hungry baby milk for one feed a day, I've never done this but don't see why you couldn't, as long as it doesn't upset your LO's tummy X

like the others have said yes you can mix :) however, if you haven't given him ready made stuff already, I would test it out at home first. My daughter couldn't take the ready made stuff as it gave her horrific blowouts. Poor wee lamb would scream until she could poop no longer. I'm sure 8 out of 10 babies are fine with it, but just in case maybe try it at home so you don't have green poo eeking all over your pram :)

Yup, I misunderstood what you wrote :flower:

But like everyone else said, yes you can mix the 2 types of formula

Is it ok to mix normal and comfort?? My son has been consipated for a few days and when I tried comfort alone a while ago, he got the runs terrible. So I have been putting 3 scoops of normal and 2 of comfort in his 5 oz bottles for a couple of days and he seems to be a bit better. :-)
