Has anyone else's LO reacted to the MMR for 3 weeks on the trot? My LB has basically had a 24 hour temperature every Monday/Tuesday since his MMR/Pneumococcal immunisation! I checked the NHS website and it does say the pneumococcal reaction is the same day, the measles reaction happens a week after the jab, the mumps 2 weeks after and the rubella can be 3-4 weeks after. So I think we're currently dealing with the mumps reaction causing a temperature. I guess we have the rubella to look forward too. I can't believe he's reacting for so long but it can't be anything else as he's not ill at all, just a slight temperature and grumpiness.

Anyone else had this?

I'd take lo into the doctor if he were sick for that long. Has he seen his doctor? That seems like a really long time to be sick from the vaccines. Maybe he has something else?

My little boy Tommy had the same. He was ill constantly for a couple of months following the MMR and had reactions to all parts of the vaccine. He had all the symptoms of measles, mumps and rubella (without them being dangerous or contagious obviously) but he was feeling very, very poorly.

jellybean - He's not sick the whole time. He had a 24 fever the day after the jab, then a week later he had another 24 hour fever and a cough for two days, then another week later he has another fever which seems to have passed again now.

Jchihuahua - thanks, that makes me feel a little better. He hasn't had any rashes at all but has had other very mild and short lived symptoms.

Yep same here. Hospital twice. He did also get over chicken pox just before his jabs though so I put it down to his immune system being run down. He was Poorly for about 8 weeks :(
