I have no money and no job and bills to pay! I'm not entitled to JSA due to lack of contributions and OH working 2 hours too many! He's not entitled to working tax credits as whilst he's 25 he only works 26 hrs a week when he needs to work 30. We should be entitled to housing benefit but it has been 2 months since we first applied and we're still jumping through their hoops and struggling on without any help whatsoever! A job that was looking promising is keeping me waiting- I had an interview almost 2 months ago and they still haven't made a decision!! I'm going back to uni one morning a week to resit one module that will allow me to get my degree but I'm not studying enough to get any help with fees. I'm pretty sure that this is what's putting employers off. I let them know straight away when they ask me when I'm available and you should see the look on their faces sometimes!! I also don't get how you're expected to get experience if every employer needs you to have experience before they give you a job!! I'm sick and tired of jumping through hoops just to be told that they can't help me!! I feel like I'm being punished for trying and being honest. It's shit having to rely on benefits but even worse when you can't get any help when you need it!! My parents are helping out as much as they can and OH's parents have helped too much already and I don't want to ask for any more, especially with everything that's been going on recently.

Everything was just starting to go so well. Stuff for the wedding has all been coming together recently. Now some of the £100 my mum's sending me that we had put aside for paying the security deposit for the reception venue might not be able to now! We need to put that money on other less frivolous things. Shit always happens when you neither want nor need it too!

i can't help much honey.
but with regard to the working tax credits- according to the people i spoke to earlier you need only be working 16 hours a week to claim for them x

Thanks hon, I just needed to vent a bit I think!

I think you can get wtc if you're working 16 hours a week if you're pregnant, a parent, a carer and stuff like that. That's from when you're 16 as well. Otherwise, you have to be 25 and working a minimum of 30 hours! At least that's what OH got told by the Jobcentre and what I could make from the info online! So bloody annoying!
