Ok, soooo... This was just something that I was researching earlier and I thought I'd share it because something we could do with is some savings. Has anyone tried coupons? Like grocery coupons. Does it help a lot? Or even a little...

Also, any advice for me? Unfortunately, in my country, most companies (including restaurants and shops) don't hire under 18s so I've been having a great deal of trouble getting myself a job. And as far as I know, financial aid is very hard to get onto. We don't have food stamps here but a social grant or whatever it's called. But it only makes up a fraction of your monthly expenses. I've been trying to come up with ways to make some money to save up for baby.
So far, all I can think of is making crafts like seasonal crafts eg DIY Christmas and Easter things etc and selling them online on the South African equivalent to Craigslist ect.

I do plan to breastfeed for at least the first 6 months and as much as I find the thought of washing poop off a cloth nappy horrifying I'm trying to wrap my head around that idea too.
If anyone has any other money saving tips, they will be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure, I'm in the UK. I don't do coupons either.

I have however used cloth with my son and plan to with this baby :) It's not as bad as people think. You can get flushable/disposable liners so that when baby poops you just pick it up in the liner and flush it :) They do cost a lot to start up but you can buy pre-loved or get them on loan from a nappy library too.

if you really stick to couponing, like cut out coupons that u need and don't buy something if u don't have a coupon for it unless it's like milk or something absolutely necessary, then they help ALOT

my sophomore year in high school my mom put all of the money she saved from coupons in a jar over the course of a year, the next year it paid for my whole family to go on a cruise.

Another cloth nappy fan here too.. Honestly once you get Into it poo doesn't bother you anymore.. Plus breasfed baby poop is water soluable so you just throw it into the wash!

I do use some coupons but I'm not terribly dedicated!
