Wel i have been for another blood test this morning following the one i had last monday when my levels dropped to 65 from 75 the previous week. They feel that this is a chemical pregnancy as they found a ball of fluid on wonb last Monday after a Vaginal Scan!

Well they say to wait for one AF after MC or D+C as the womb is a very hostile place and it seems that pregnancy before AF comes results in disaster beacuse of this!! Surely the egg would not implant if that was the case?? Maybe that is why this chemical pregnancy has happened.

Well not had AF since October now and so want her to come! Been 8 week since D+C and 2 weeks since BFP turning to BFN! So cant wait for AF to show so we can try agin!

Thinking about you all at this hard time.

Oh am so sorry to hear that :hug:.Hope the :witch: shows up for you soon so you can start trying again.I had a d&c just over 2 weeks ago and my doctor said there is no physical reason for me not to try again straight away, and i agree that surely the egg would not plant if your body wasnt ready.Im not sure i will ever understand all these strange things that go on within my womb!!!:hug:I hope you get there soon xx

My doctor said that also!! That is why we tried again!

But got a right shouting at from EPAU! They said that the first AF flushes everything out of you and makes it not a hostile place to start a new pregancy!

So now i have to wait to pass this chemical pregancy before we can try again.

I am even contemplating going back on Pill as the condoms are a passion killer! But that means it will prob mess my cycles up again, before i have even got AF back!

Snap i dont like condoms yuck!!!! and i too dont want to go back on the pill and i dont think i ever will go back on it now after what it did to my cycles after coming off it.
And i think that because i was on the pill for so long when i didnt want a baby then we did want one and i had a M/C i think that hasnt helped my mind cope with the miscarriage if that makes any sense.
There is so much conflicting info out there about TTC after M/C so who knows who your supposed to listen too,but everyone should just do whatever feels right to them i think.
Good luck xx

Gosh sounds like you are going through the mill! :hugs:

I'm confused, is the level of 75 left over from you MC? Or is it deffo a chemical?

I'm sorry hun, either way :( xx

Well i had D+C on 12th Jan and got a negative test on 30th Jan. No AF still. When i went for my first blood test hte levels were 75 then 38 hours later, still 75! So i had a repeat on a few days later and they had dropped to 65. So i have had a repeat one today.

Well at first they thought it was left over but because of the BFN on 30th they think it is a very early chemical pregnancy!

Lets hope levels are back to normal level so witch can show her face and i can get back to normal!

God what a palava, I'm so sorry.

I didn't think there was any problem catching the first egg after MC, but maybe I will think twice before trying on my own first cycle if this can happen.
Weird how it's taking a while to go down, I wonder why?

TTC is so not fun at times!!!!

I never knew that either. My nurse practitioner said that after the D&E (on 5 Feb) we could start trying again as soon as the bleeding stopped and that a woman is at her *most* fertile just after a m/c. What you were told seems to make a bit more sense though, since DH and I have been trying like crazy and this morning :witch: showed up.

I've never been more disappointed in my life, since the nurse had us counting on being pregnant again already.

 for you for going through this again.

The Miscarrage Ass say there is no medical reason to wait until AF has shown its just to do with doctors working out due dates and stuff.

I don't see who AF is going to 'clean you out' anymore then a MC would. I was VERY heavy and had lots of clots and stuff much more then with a normal AF. Still who knows . . .

Sorry to hear about your m/c.

I have fallen pg straight after having a m/c, and my midwife said it's a good thing, as your body is already 'primed' for pregnancy. I also asked if I should have waited, she laughed and said no, it really is so they can work out dates accurately, no medical reasons not to get pg straight away.

A lot of people talk about your womb lining needing to thicken again, but it sheds with every period the same as with a m/c, so the two week wait between period and ovulation is no different to the tww between m/c and ovulation. Apparently!

Everyone has different opinions on it! That is what worried me!

I also got caught within 4 weeks of D+C but now waiting for AF to clean me out as levels went down to 33 HCG today!

Maybe is the reason they said its not a good place for a new pregnancy. Maybe it is just the one opinion at EPAU as doctor said it would be fine! But god knows!!!

I'm sorry they were funny with you at EPU hun :hugs: It seems like it is such an 'unknown' area (ttc after mc) and there is so much conflicting advice about it. My GP said wait for af then you can return to ttc, the consultant said wait 2 cycles, the nurse at EPU said wait for af, the leaflet they gave me from the MiscAssociation says there is no harm trying straight away and everything i have read online has ranged from saying "Go for it straight away" to "Wait three months!"

It's crazy, and doesn't help when you're already feeling so fragile and confused.

I hope you don't have to wait long for af now. I sympathise about what to do in the meantime. After the mc we didn't bd for a week until the bleeding stopped then we used condoms for a week but it just didn't feel right and that is why we have ended up going straight back to ttc.

Big

I know OH hates Condoms. I bought some but have not used them yet. Going to have to start though as i need to get rid of the very early MC before i can get caught again.

The advice is very conflicting and i think if you go with what feels fight then you cant say what if?

I did, but it just turned out bad considering, but i am sure many people have TTC before AF and been fine!

Hi there. Not been on here for a while so sorry to hear about your news again. I really do think that by now they should get you to go to the recurrent miscarriage clinic and I would really push this with your doc. This is obviously the 2nd time in a few months and you said something about the possibility of having an early mc before in the past. I'm sure there is nothing wrong but what if it is something small that is stopping it from happening?

My doc put me forward once I spoke to him beginning of Feb (I had 2 mc too within a few months) and I said that I think I had one back in May (I wasn't actively trying then but pretty sure it was - couldn't be 100% sure though). Luckily for me though I didn't have to push that point and I got an appointment within 3 weeks, blood tests and other tests taken now... got to go back end of April.

I just thought that taking a break whilst the tests are taken is best for me and it has worked out well emotionally too. I feel great... well, a holiday away helped that I suppose :)

I was keen to start trying again straight away, after a winter sun holiday later I am really feeling the benefits of just waiting till my results are in. I'm not saying that this is what you should do as ultimately it is totally your choice but even if you started trying soon but got the tests underway just incase this happens again??

I hope you are feeling ok... as you are well aware it is pretty grim. Hopefully we've just been unlucky.... after my friend had ectopic and 3 mc later, she has just given birth to baby and that is the hope that I am keen to keep going. PM me if you want x
