Well girlies im sitting here winding myself up about what id wished id said to people in the moment so thought id write it down to get it outta my system!!! lol

On Friday one of the mums (who knows how scared ive been and that ive lost a baby) asked to see ym scan pics..i happily let her see and her exact words to me were "aww thats good everything is fine, now all you have to worry about is stillbirth"

Now im sorry but is thins something ANYONE would say???? My jaw literally dropped n i just stood and stared at her! I honestly could not believe that someone would say those words!! Just why would you???

Yesterday sitting at the dinner table with my MIL, FIL and hubby, my MIL said to me "God are they trousers not too tight, they're cutting you in half" (now these are my maternity trousers that fit perfecvtly well but i was sitting down so had that 2 belly thing going on!) I said "No they're fine" she then went on to tell me that she only went up to a size 12 (shes a size 8) when she was pregnant n that no doubt ill end up a size 16. I replied to this "Excuse me but the scan lady measured my layer of fat n its only 1cm around my bump!! I was told its better than perfect!" To which she replied "yeah but yours arse is massive!"

Craig told her to shut up but i was about in tears, she likes to pretend everything is just a joke but seriously why would you say that!! It was until i got home though that i realised she went up 2 dress sizes from an 8 to a 12 n if shes right n i do go up to a 16 im only going up 2 fecking dress sizes too!!!!!!

People just have a serious case of verbal diarrhoea around me at the moment!!!!!

and breathe.....lol rant over xx

What awful things to say! Your mum friend was bang out of order.

Reading your MIL's comments seems funny, know it isn't funny being on the receiving end though! Your MIL sounds like a bit of a nightmare!

My grandma (Dad's mum) is a bit like this, says terrible things in such a way that it is hard to pull her up on it. Shocking stuff. After 40 years my Mum just tries to feel sorry for her / laugh at her, and pity her for seeing life like that.

People are just weird / sad. Am sure you look fabulous!

My gosh, peoples stupidity and rudeness never fails to astound me. You are gorgeous hun, don't let them get to you :hugs:

thanks girls!!! People just have no tact i guess lol wish i had the brass neck to reply something just as rude or mean! lol That may come as the hormones increase! lol x

lol exactly!! lol my MIL also said when she had had Craig the nurse couldnt belive she'd just given birth coz her tummy was concaved in apparantly! she will not be allowed to see me after giving birth coz you can guarantee ill hear about this too! lol least ive got boobies!! :P x

Poor you, what awful and insensitive things to say to you. Hopefully by thirty weeks you'll be able to say things back!

oh my god brooke!! i cannot actually believe ppl have said these things to you..!
the still birth comment :O im god smacked
ignore them, theres always people out there that are unsupportive and a little jealous maybe???
xxxx

How insensitive of that mum to say that all you have to worry about is a stillbirth! Who in their right mind would say that least of all to a mum who has suffered a loss. God if it were me I would of punched her of something!!

As for your mil silly cow!!! What does she expect you are pg everyone puts on weight theres no need to be so abrupt like that and mention it. Again if it were me I would of punched her lmao!!!

Try to ignore them hunni they are not worth thinking about and you have more important things to concentrate on. x

thanks girls you've made me feel better, i told my gran today n she wants to punch her lights out!!

Lauralora: I know hun my jaw literally dropped n i just stood and stared at her!!! Why anyone in their right mind thinks thats an appropriate comment i do not know! Stupid biatch! lol x

I'll come over there and punch them for you!!

Literally a month after I lost Devin someone said to me at least you know you can get pregnant!! I was still to upset to say anything back but if they had of said that to me now I would have clocked them!

Ignore them sweetie not worth your time to get upset over them. :hugs:

It's amazing how when you become pregnant you become public property and people talk to you like you aren't a person. OH's grandmother was doing that to me the other day. Upset OH more than me I think as I've grown used to ignoring her.

:hugs:

Next time your MIL opens her mouth tell her to shut her cake hole and give you all a bit of peace! I'm lucky in that I have an absolutely lovely MIL and can't ever imagine her saying anything disrespectful.

Hopefully your friend noticed your reaction to her comment and felt shamed and embarrassed.

thanks girls!!!

Meldmac i cannot believe someone said that to you!! I know people find it difficult knowing what to say when someone has had a loss but surely keeping your trap shut is better!!

I wish that mc wasnt such a taboo subject coz people just shy away from discussing it when its real, happens to so so many women and is part of every families lives at one point...i hate it when people ask me if this is my first baby....i want to say no ive got an angel in heaven but it just makes people feel awkward but in my opinion thats wrong....anyhoo rant over lol x

grrr, your MIL. i dont understand this modern obsession with being skinny even whilst pregnant!! its utterly ridiculous.

And your mum friend... i cant believe someone would say that. especially someone who has children themselves. what an insensitive cow.im sorry you had to deal with that.
