I have noticed that when I pump that one breast produces more milk than the other. When I look at the bottles when I am done, my right side filled the bottle better than my left side did. Is this normal? I don't understand this. It's usually not a huge difference, but just thought it was odd. Does anyone else experience this?

I think it's pretty normal to have one that produces more. At least I have that too. The times I've pumped I've noticed a difference. For me I think it's because I have one "easy" and one "difficult" breast if that makes any sense. The left has always been my difficult one with engorgements and large size changes while the right one has behaved much better. :D

It might change with time too since you haven't been breastfeeding for very long yet. The breasts will keep adjusting to your the needs of your baby.

My LC at the hospital said almost everyone does. I produce more in my left than in my right. I try to feed/pump off my right more for this reason.

Yep it's normal. I tend to pump less from my right as well as get plugged ducts on my right and never my left (not sure if they are related or not).

Same here, one side always seems to produce better than the other when I pump.

Good to know that this is normal. I just thought I was weird, lol!!! Thank you all for replying.

I've got 3 children worth of breastfeeding experience and also did "Breastmates" training too and yep....this is completely normal:hugs:

100% normal - i get 2 or 3 times the amount from my right than my left. I tend to give baby his main course from the right super-boob and then pop him onto little-leftie afterwards for his pudding!...
