moses basket or crib??

with mikayla we had a crib on wheels that rocked it was fantastic we could wheel it to any room of the house and at night it was next to me so if she cried i would just put my foot and and rock her back to sleep..lol..theyr also much sturdier and bigger it willl last your bub longer

hi,

can i ask why nobody has mentioned using the carry cot part of the pram as a bed for the first few months?? all the pram shops i've been at have said that they're fine.

is there a reason that they're not? or is it just that a moses basked etc looks much nicer?

i'd really like a moses basket but trying to save pennies, so thought using the carry cot was a good choice?

We're getting a crib...I think we'd get much more use out of it as she grows.

Im going to be using a crib.. I think itll last a lot longer and the baby won't grow out of it so soon. Kinda tight on money anyways.

With my first we used a moses basket and he out grew it by 3months. With no2 we just used the carry out top on the pram ans took it upstairs of a night but again was in the cot by 3months. This time we have been given a crib so I will use this upstairs at night then just use the pram top during the day. Hoping little one will stay in the crib longer than the moses basket as we can't fit the cotbed in our room and would mean moving s/he into their own room earlier than I planned.

Hiya - i think i mentioned that in my post. I know several people who have done this and its fine. For me personally i will also be getting a crib but thats just me. There are so many options i think it is just about finding the one thats right for you but there is nothing wrong with using the carrycot as a bed. x
