Most EWCM the day after ovulation?

Hello ladies.:wave:I am new here...just joined this week. This is my first month ttc but have been trying to track ovulation the past 3 or 4 months based on CM and ovulation pain. Each month my cycle is 30 days and I feel ovulation pain on CD13. Each month I have felt sharp pain for a few minutes on the alternate side so I am pretty sure this ovulation pain. Here is my question. I get light EWCM from CD10 to CD13 but then on CD14 (day after ovulation) I get lots of EWCM...like so much. This makes me question if I have my ovulation day wrong. By CD15 I have no EWCM. Does anyone else get the most EWCM the day after they ovulate?

By what you're describing, I would think you ovulate on CD14 when you see the most EWCM. Ovulation pain can occur before, during, or after ovulation. I would suggest temping to confirm when you ovulate so you know for sure.

That makes so much sense. I thought pain would be as you ovulate. If it can happen before then I think you are right. And I suck at counting days. Since I wrote this I have figured out the O pain was CD15 and the lots of EWCM was CD16. This also means the last time I DTD was the day before O day Next month I will chart my temperature to confirm what day is O day.

Ovulation on CD16 makes a little more sense which would put your LP at 14 days which is pretty much perfect. I need to temp because I don't ovulate regularly and it would definitely help you out so you know exactly which day you're ovulating.

Hey 6footnoodle, may I ask what your ovulation pain feels like? I have been on bc for so long and before that I rarely had cycles so I have no idea what it is suppose to feel like. I am on CD16 and I am having really bad pain on my lower left side where I guess my ovary would be. It is not a cramping pain but more of a sharp aching pain. It started out not really severe and over the past hour or so it has become very noticable, so bad that I am considering taking some Advil. I do not temp because I work weird hours so it is near impossible to track it. I do use opks but I did not test this afternoon. I tested at about 7 am this morning and it was negative but a darker negative than usual so I am hoping this means I am going to O soon. Thanks for your help in advance!

Hi Wife2be. My ovulation pain feel like a sharp pinching pain where the ovary is. Mine doesn't feel like cramping either. I feel it for very short though...maybe 10 minutes. I have read that girls can feel it for a few minutes or even a few days. So you might be one of the longer ones.

Ovulation generally follows the last day of ewcm so it sounds like your peak day was cd14 (or 16 depending on how you've counted) and ovulation on cd15 (or 17). If you dtd whilst experiencing ewcm its still possible to get preggers as sperm can live in that fertile mucus for several days.

Thanks for the info! The pain completely stopped but still no positive opk yet. Sometimes this is the most frsutrating part. Maybe I will just O in 8 days when I am suppose to according to my last cycle.

I haven't tried using opk tests yet. I think I will try for next month. That way I will know for sure which day I ovulate.
I was on birth control pills for almost 10 years before I got off it a year ago. It took a while for my cycle regulate. I think it was 5-6 months after I stopped that I began having a normal 30 day cycle. How long have you been off it?

I think I had my ovulation day wrong. Don't know what I was feeling. I don't feel any ovulation pain most months. I used an OPK this month and seems like I ovulate the last day I have ewcm.
