So I worked from 830 to 4 today packaging food for haiti. I was a leader so I had to stay there all day. The baby didn't move at all the whole time, which I was on my feet the whole time. But when I got home it started kicking really light. And now that I'm laying down its kicking harder. Is there a reason I didn't feel it at all until I laid down and relaxed? I mean I was really worried all day...

Ive been told when your on your feet and walking about it kinda rocks baby to sleep. Any maybe becuse you were so busy all day the baby did move jsut not a whole lot and you didn't realize it. As long as baby is moving fine now that your relaxing I would say things sound ok but if your worried talk to your dr about it

Exactly what mom 2b said... I've heard as well that when you're moving around a lot, it rocks the baby to sleep and that it could also be that the baby is moving and since you're moving around, you don't really feel it as much as when you're still

At the moment I am working 2 days in the office and 3 days from home and when I am home I ferl Zigzag fidgeting around and kicking all day. When I am in the office and moving about and distracted more I feel her considerably less. It doesn't worry me anymore altho it is nice when I get home and relax and she says 'hi' with a swift kick :flower:

I find the harder I work/ the more I walk around in the day the less I feel her...then when I go home and rest she goes bonkers.

A few weeks ago I went to delivery suite for reduced movement (baby was fine...just using anterior placenta as a punchbag) but also lovely midwife said that when we are walking around or working all day we are using all the energy so bubs will be more chilled out until we go and rest...then they use it!
