I'm 35+5 and my bump is having a quiet day but it's driving me crazy. I'm always so stressed about movements. I've been to the hospital three times in two weeks about movements and everything is find, had scans etc. they said roughly I should feel ten movements in twelve hours. Well last night my bump was quiet but I was exhausted and maybe fell asleep before I felt any movements because normally it's active at night, I'm sure it did wake me up at one point and I was awake throughout the night and had water etc it and it was always moving after a drink etc. I've felt it at least every hour today but I still don't thunk it's as active as usual, but then it has had an active two days do I was half expecting a quiet day!

I know I can phone the hospital but I am feeling the recommended amount of movement and they tell me my baby is very active, and when I go there it normally is. I don't seem to be hungry today and haven't eaten much , so that too may be effecting things. I really don't think there's anything wrong because it is still active, I think it is just a quiet day, but I am driving myself crazy! It got to the stage last night where I wasn't going back to sleep so I could check it was moving! I'm exhausted from the worrying, and I can't help thinking I might be worrying unnecessarily too... Any one else been like this??

Are you starting to feel a lot of Braxton Hicks? That can really impair how often you feel movement. That and the fact that your baby is getting bigger and rapidly running out of room. I know it's hard to feel comfortable when you can't see your baby/ hear the heartbeat at every minute of the day.

I was just gonna post a topic on this!. Im having the same thing!!!... Baby seems to be moving less and less everyday...and he never kicks or punches just suttle slow movements....I wonder if this is normal as well.. Its sure a stressful feeling

When I was pregnant with DD, she was extremely lazy :haha:. It took a lot of poking and prodding to get her to move. One day she'd be,extremely quiet. The next I'd feel her move quite a bit. Babies are just like us and have days they don't feel like doing much. Also, my baby was just extremely calm & is to this day. She barely cries, is an amazing sleeper & everything. I wouldn't worry too much.

my midwife told me today that even though baby is running out of space ANY sign of reduced movements (as we know, movements change throughout the months, instead of kicks, rolling etc its more stretching and at times quite painful!) then to call. they would much prefer to speak to you than not.
don't want to sound like a worrier but I really would call, they can put your mind at ease :)
xx

I'm just waiting on my husband to get ready so we can go to the hospital to get checked out as I think the baby has been really quiet since yesterday afternoon, I have felt movement but it's been quite lack lustre.

If you haven't had much to eat then I would recommend that you have something as babies can get low on energy just as we can but if you're really concerned then give your hospital a call, they would rather you called too. My midwife terrified me the last time I saw her regarding reduced movement so I'd rather go in and make sure everything is all okay :) I'm fully expecting bump to start having a wriggle party as soon as we go there xx

Thanks for all the replies :) I went into be checked and all was okay, as soon as I was there bump went crazy again, typical! But I'm glad I went x
