My phone contract ends next month and I've decided to keep the phone I've got (iPhone 4s) I'm being constantly hounded by carphone warehouse trying to talk me into an upgrade but I'm happy with my phone and don't see the point in getting a new one for the sake of it.

I'm currently on O2 contract paying £28 a month and have decided to go on giffgaff pay as you go.

Does anyone know if it is possible for me to keep my number? I've had this number for 2 years and I would like to keep it if I can.

Yes it should be easy enough, you need to get a PAC code off O2 (ring and request it) and pass this to giffgaff. They should then be able to move your number over.

You shouldn't have to pay. I moved from T-mobile to 02 a few years ago. Only downside was my sim was inactive for 24-48 hours while they were doing it.

Won't the phone be locked to O2? X

Ahh ok. Haven't heard of them before x

They seem to be really good. For £10 a month I'll get 500 mins, unlimited txts and 1gb internet :)
