Hiya we didn't go from size 1 to 2 we went from size 1 to variflow at 9weeks.
Much better once baby learns how to control the flow to how they want, plus they dont need to get used to different teats. x

We just went to size 2 this week. She uses Tommee Tippee and it was just taking her forever to get the bottle finished and she would get frustrated. My sister had tried the variflow and said they were just a mess and her LO hated them so I was afraid to even bother. the #2 nipple does seem really fast though but she's already used to it

The variflow does take a couple days to get used to. but after that baby learn how to control the flow to their needs and theres no mess and little leakage

We used Avent - which seems to have an interim 1+ month one that lots of the others don't.

We went to the 1+ ones at 2 months (I forgot we had them to be honest - that's why we didn't change earlier), 3month + ones at 3 1/2 months, 6month+ ones at 5 months.
