multiple miscarriages after IUD...

Today marks my third miscarriage in 4 months. I had the Mirena IUD for about a year and a half and I had it removed in July. I have had 2 successful pregnancies and never had a miscarriage before now. I am just wondering if anyone knows why this could be happening all of a sudden? or if it maybe had something to do with my IUD?

You're almost identical to me. I had mirena for almost 2 years. Had mine removed June/July 2009. Conceived in Sept MC in Oct at 7 weeks. And now again in Dec to MC in Jan at 5ish weeks.

I don't know if it's because of the IUD of it's because there were genetic problems with the baby that caused the miscarriages. I suppose it helps to place blame but I've heard many sucess stories after and IUD. Wish I could give more info/help but I didn't want to read and run. I also want you to know you aren't alone I guess!

I had mirena in 2000, removed in 04, had alex in 05. mirena again till 07 had jasmine in 08. mirena again, removed in 09 got pregnant with Charlie (loss due to chromasome abnormalities)

just wanted you to hear the positive side
