Due to being overweight, I've always had an apron belly. Whilst being pregnant, it's filled a bit, but once baby comes, will it shrink to the pre pregnancy sized apron (which was bad enough) or will it sag even lower than before? I swear if it does I'll be kicking it as I walk! Pre pregnancy I was a size 22-24, uk size.

I had an apron slightly before having my first (pre-pregnancy size 12/14/16 UK depending on shops)
then after having her (gained 4 stone during pregnancy) Mine was noticeably worse than before. I went up to a 18-20 UK.

This pregnancy I started at 18-20-22-24 UK depending on style/fit etc. Had a saggy belly, but not super saggy. My bump is filling out now, but I still have a slight sag. I'll attach a pic of my bare bump to show how much it's filled out compared with before :)

Hoping it at least goes back to what it was... because it's quite saggy to touch. Like as if it's just skin. No muscle, no fat.. just saggy old people skin LOL.
It's bad enough to see through my clothes, so I tend to wear dresses and leggings pulled all the way up to my bra :haha:

Pics are 17 weeks & 33 weeks 6 days.

Thank you for sharing your photo. If mine goes back to how it was I could live with that, as I know it doesn't look too hiddious with clothes on, just worried about it sagging lower than before.

Your picture on the left looks like me when doing my ivf. However I still have the overhang as well as a huge bump. Your looks as though it's all stocking out

I have always had the apron to....and this I my forth pregnancy and the size or hang of mine has always changed with my weight....as I lost weight it always got better. but yeah I have this huge bump that is all round and firm till you get 3/4 way down my belly then BAM there I all the fat hanging there....I hate it! wish I could just cut it off!!!

I was a UK 12/14 before my first pregnancy and put on more than 3 stone. My bump turned to jelly-belly and even when I lost all of the weight I put on the ledge was still there! I had an emcs though which I'm sure didn't help.

This time my bump had filled it out and I haven't put on as much weight so I'm prepared for the worst but hoping for the best!

Don't worry too much though, your body changes in such unexpected ways and for me personally although I know it'll never be the same as before i had my LO's, I did learn to accept the 'new' body I had between pregnancies.

I have a very saggy belly. It was better after the birth but its got bad again now I'm expecting as my tummy muscles have just given up. I'm hoping it'll go back in a bit after this birth.

In fact it had better bloody shrink! I swear at times it slaps against my thighs as I walk its like someone is applauding!! X

Mine has,im afraid got slightly worse but it was never too bad until i had my cs last time and now i do find it quite bad and im embarrassed of it i now,i just know its going to be worse after this pregnancy, but not alot we can do,i hate the way my knickers roll down under it,lol and that i find it can get sweaty underneath,i just make sure to take plenty of showers to keep the area clean, this is my 12th pregnancy and i was pretty much fine until around no.9 but i suppose i cant moan after 12 as ive not done bad really. Lol,oh by the way ive pretty much been between a 14-18 pre pregnancy throughout.x

I felt like a huge balloon that had been poked with a pin after having my daughter :haha: it all just went south! But I'd say by 6 weeks after the birth it had started to go back to normal. Hoping the same this time, but I'm guessing the overhang will be more noticeable this time just mainly because i'm carrying more weight.

I didn't have one before having my son, unfortunately he was an emergency caesarean which left me with a very floppy apron. It was starting to go away and I was working at it. Then we decided to have this baby and I gave up haha. I'm sure as I lose weight it will recede again but at the moment it's very squishy :(

Oh! And as someone else mentioned, straight after birth it was shocking! It got better and by 6 weeks pp it was much less horrible. Initially it was so bad that my incision became infected because it couldn't breathe. How gross is that?! It got much much better. Don't expect miracles straight after birth. Xx

I think this time round I've just put on baby weight, but I've accepted the fact that I'm never going to be able to wear a bikini! I've always had that "underhang" that hubby likes to call my "wobbly bits", even when I lost 6 stone and swam loads. I think once I start swimming again and on the diet I was on to lose that 6 stone it won't be AS horrendous as it will be once baby is born. And in the meantime I'll be saving all the money I'd be spending on chocolate for a tummy tuck because this is the last pregnancy we're planning! x
