My 24 week appointment

was this afternoon and my midwife was happy about just about everything. My weight gain is good, my belly is measuring spot on, my blood pressure and heart rate were excellent. She did say I was a bit anemic, but gave me couple of options on how to get my levels up. She also said the baby's heartbeat sounded fantastic.

She is going to schedule my 24 week sonogram for next week and I can not wait. I have been dying to have a proper ultrasound since I found out I was pregnant. So I will hopefully have some photos to share by the end of next week.

We also scheduled my diabetes test. I have to brag here and say my midwife rocks. I have to fast from 12pm on. Then head to hers at 830am, give a drop of blood. Go eat a big ole breakfast, wait 2 hours, and then back to hers for a 2nd blood drop. No icky drink!!!

I just can't beleive that at my next appointment I will be in my 3rd trimester already.

Oh I am also starting to have Braxton Hicks contractions.

Glad everything is going well! Guess I'm lucky as I don't think I've had Braxton Hicks yet. I may be jinxing myself now that I've said that, haha!

Weird arn't they. I just get a feeling of pressure across the bottom of my belly, like between my hips and it gets reallly hard.

Thanks ladies. I am shocked at how fast the time is going by.
