I got my amnio results
Our suspicion of a baby with downs were confirmed that the baby does have downs syndrome
I was also told my baby is a girl.
a girl, finally a girl I need to find support groups for downs syndrome tho

A beautiful girl.. Congrats.
A good friend of mine has a son with DS he is such an amazing boy and the support and early intervention they have these days are amazing.
Not sure where you live but in Australia they have mother groups for children with Ds.
Good luck and I hope your DS journey is not a difficult one (medically). Your house will be filled with a different kind of love now too will also be filled with your daughters constant laughter.

Congratulations on your baby girl! how exciting!!! my cousins beautiful lil girl has ds and they have found the most wonderful support networks near to them, I don't know where you are in the world, they are in the South West UK but if you want any info on groups etc let me know and I can get the names etc... As a family we wouldn't have her any other way xxx

We had a level 2, very detailed 2 hour ultrasound yesterday, and had no soft markers. So now my odds are 1:75. We opted for no amino but now I am wondering if we made the right decision. I was just curious about your story?

Hi, I had the nt scan and it showed the baby to have a nuchal fold of 5.7mm! This freaked us out and we waited to hear the blood results with the actual ratio. Those just came back yesterday, they said the baby is negative for t18 which was great but that we are still showing signs of downs so they gave us the ratio of 1:75 as well. I went for the materniT21 test yesterday and they said I will have those results within 2 weeks. That will give us the answer for downs. What a hard process this is, all the waiting and the worry... Let us know what you find out and I will update as well
