I was supposed to go in for testing today and stuff. And when she was looking at my belly she said that the baby is measuring big and that I'm really 15 weeks pregnant and that I won't be able to do those tests, because the baby is too big. She said I will have to do a DNA test instead. She's like you should probably get your due date changed to December 24th instead of January 3rd. But she said she will have to confirm it with my doctor.

I'm really worried because she didn't do the necessary tests because the technician said it's too late, has this happened to anyone before? My next doctors appointment is on the 28th I think, and I don't wanna wait that long without doing necessary tests, I'm so worried. I'm worried that I'm missing out on the necessary tests, :(

I've never had any of those tests done with all three pregnancies. Are you high risk or something? If not, I really wouldn't worry about it. A lot of people opt out of the early tests and are just fine, hun. It seems like most problems don't typically get picked up until the 20 week scan anyway. :hugs:

I don't think you will be too late, if it is the Harmony test she is talking about you are better off doing that one anyway. It is a blood test and tests for much much more....

I thought they only change the dates at a twelve week ultra sound??

They pushed me from Oct 17th to Oct 26th when I went to my 20 week US. My OB also agrees on working with my original dates so in theory, since I am being induced at 39 weeks, baby could be as young as 38 weeks.

They will try to see if the 12 week coordinates with the 20 week and they can move the date....When after 37 weeks you are full term though and they will deliver when your body appears ready!

Will "have" to do a DNA test? Does she mean amnio? Don't be pushed into doing amnio if you don't want to!

You don't HAVE to have any tests! Don't let them lead you into thinking you do.

Its a blood test.

Fair enough but that advice goes for anything. You don't have to do it!
