Honestly it's hurting an it's so sore like I've been trecking for a week! Is this normal? My hips are hurting and last night in bed when I tried to turn slowly, I yelped from the pain and had to stop. I'm 18 weeks but have noticed this for good few weeks now. Is it spd?

Sorry LOL, that sounds awful. Babycentre says these are the symptoms of SPD:

Back pain, pain at the back of your pelvis or hip pain.
Pain, along with a grinding or clicking sensation in your pubic area.
Pain down the inside of your thighs or between your legs.
Pain that's made worse by parting your legs, walking, going up or down stairs or moving around in bed.
Pain that's worse at night and stops you from sleeping well. Getting up to go to the toilet in the middle of the night can be especially painful.

They say that going to the physio and strengthening the support muscles around the pelvis can help. I suffer from neck issues that trigger back pain, especially in my lower back and hips. I've found visiting the chiropractor monthly really helpful (I'm going today!) to loosen locked joints and free up muscles. Maybe that could help?

Thanks for your reply. I used to see a chiropractor as I have slipped discs but it's so expensive and it's not really my back playing up. It is my hip area and my sore bottom...I've not had this happen before so feels very strange! I hope you feel better after your apptointment.

Sounds to me like spd but would ask midwife. I suffered spd with my daughter and have severe spd this time it's so painful walking hurts if I do it too long, sitting hurts if I do it too long, turning in bed or at random points in the day are extremely painful also xxx
