My BOY turned into a GIRL!!!!!

At 15 weeks I got a private ultrasound and was told that I was going to have a baby boy! It was so excited and we decided on the name Liam!

Well, today at 25 weeks we had an anatomy scan and yep..... NO PENIS TO BE SEEN!


I'm having a girl!
I did see a penis like thing at 15 weeks though, at 25 weeks saw the vagina etc...

How crazy!

I bet the first one you saw the cord.... Thats what it sounds like.... Usally its pretty clear if your having a boy 15 weeks is also alittle early to tell gender.. They want to wait till atleast 16 weeks+ to tell you what it is

My brother was told a boy too, and found out at 7 1/2 months he was having a girl.

I still question the hospital he uses :/

It must have been the cord or nub. 15 weeks is really early for a gender scan.

gosh did u buy anything ? these early scans are crap ,i went at 16wk and she said she "thought" boy, i said i havent paid all this money for her to just "think" u want 100% u shud get a refund ?X

No it wasn't cord lol.

I hope you didnt buy any blue stuff.
That doesnt sound too crazy though...it happens with the early gender scans...it is better to wait around 18 weeks to be sure.

Earlier than 18 weeks is sometimes inaccurate.. Simply cuz the gentials look so much alike early on ! But you do sometimes get accurte readings. Hopin they can tell me what im having at 16 week one monday

early on both male and female have something between the legs then it forms into a true penis or clitoris. I think it was just too early for the tech to have told you for sure. So sorry! Hope you guys are dealing okay.

This is another reason I'm thank full wre team yellow! Sorry Hun I'd be raging bout the money it cost too, especially cause it was a private GENDER scan! I know mistakes are easily made but still annoying! Congrats on ur girl tho

How sure was the tech at your 15 week scan? We could tell at 13+4 and 15+6 that we're having a boy and it's pretty clear... but by your 15 week scan pic I would say boy too! Could you tell if the nub was pointing up or vertical with the legs? From mine, not only the parts, but the position make us think 100% boy.... but I would be THRILLED to find out it's really a girl. Still thrilled to have a boy though.

SHUT the front door! Eeep I am nervous about this happening to me! Although I think it's more common for a boy to turn into a girl than a girl into a boy. I think I might wait until my next ultrasound in a couple weeks before buying anything...did you guys buy a bunch of stuff yet??

I asked the ultrasound tech at our 15 weeks how sure she was id have a boy. She very confidently said " your having a boy.."

Its kinda hard to rap my head around now after 10 weeks of boy thinking that she is a she! We bought a couple things. I was buying mostly light green nursery stuff so all I need to do is pair it with pink now

I know how you feel. We were told at 19 weeks we were 90% sure of it being a girl. Then today at 22 weeks (tomorrow) we found out she's a HE!
