My Clearblue digital ovulation tests arrived today

Has anyone used these? I'm on CD 5 and the instructions say to start testing on CD 6. I bought a 20 pack, but don't want to waste any. Should I wait until I think I'm supposed to ovulate on day 15 or 16. Seems silly to start testing tomorrow if I don't even ovulate until later in my cycle. Any advice is welcome. DH wants me to start tomorrow. What to do?

Until you know your cycle and when you ovulate to the exact day, I would suggest following the directions...cause you never know if you ovulate early or late. I feel the same way and don't want to waste my clear blues so I bought a ton of internet cheapies so that I can test two to three times a day. When those opks come up positive, I use a clear blue to back up the results. That way I don't spend a ton of money! Good luck!!!

I'll be keeping an eye in this thread because we're also trying these this month. We bought the 20 pack too. OH is so excited! He thinks they're magic sticks! We're going to do the SMEP with our opk and will start using them on cd8. This is our second month. I will happily keep you updated. Good luck to us all x

I have been keeping track of my cycle since feb. and temping since apr. My chart says that I have ovulated on CD 15 and 17. I think that is a great idea to get the cheapies, I am gonna try that out as well. Thanks for the tip. I wish you luck.

Hopefully your husband is right about them being magic sticks. Out of curiosity, do you know your cycle well? How did you choose CD8 to start testing? I hope we both have luck using them. Fingers crossed and baby dust.

Well re my cycles, I've just come off the pill after 12 years and I'm currently on my second cycle. First post pill cycle was 28 days and this cycle has been 26 days. I'm cd5 now so I'm assuming my cycles have returned to 26 to 28 days x

I chose cd8 because SMEP says to start opks on cd10 and I'm excited! Loooool! I've read that you should start cb digital opks on cd6 but I'm sure af will be around until cd7. Also ive read that if you have a 26 day cycle then you should start opks 3 days after af has gone so i'll either start cd8 or 9 but defo by cd10. I'll keep you posted hun xxxxx

Baby2012, I have a 24-26d cycle, so I'll start on CD9. I'm actually really excited this cycle. I feel like this could be it for us. Between SMEP AND OPK we have a lot of bases covered. This is our 5th cycle ttc, and I feel very optimistic, did I mention I was excited? Haha

I'm excited too! As for OH he thinks that all his birthdays have come at once. Have you told yours about SMEP? I haven't, I've just told him that we're actually going to TRY this month.

I told him about SMEP, thinking I should have kept it to myself though. He kind of laughed. He doesn't want to have something telling him when he should bd. I'm pretty sure he'll forget I mentioned it so I can go ahead with my plan. I almost sound sinister, but I'm actually sincere. Haha.

I've been using them this cycle too; currently in first TWW - really hoping they are magic sticks! OH was so excited when we got our first smiley face!!

If no luck this month, then we'll try even harder next month. Fingers crossed that it all works this month and I've just bought a load of sanitary products (earlier today!) for no reason

It's funny that 18 or so month ago when these were first advertised, I thought to myself hmmm dumb pregnant women can't even see if a line is there and need it in words. However I can't wait to read "pregnant" now! it's the test i will show to my dh when I am since him looking at a pee stick with lines on it, he won't have a clue!

I bought some of those in the Buy One Get One Free offer in Boots because they said they detected as early as 6 days early, isn't that right?

Go for it!!!!! or you could wait a few more days.... I'd be scared to see a BFN because I tested so early. I'm no help am I!?!!! I'm not really clued up with test but I'm sure you'd at least get a faint now?????
