My date has changed :(

Hiya

Well hospital have called again and told me they have cancelled my c section for monday 17th oct and I now have to go in the 19th oct. Its got me into a right mess all emotional cause I have had that date for 10wks and today they decide they have booked too many in. My sister and hubby have told me its only 2 days which I know and i might laugh about it tomorrow but right about now I am feeling pretty crap

Even 2 days is a big change for you and your ability to prepare mentally and emotionally for your c-section! I guess on the bright side you have 2 more days to get everything just perfect for your LO...

I would be devastated.. My midwife filled me with doubt on Monday by saying its unusual that my hospital are doing my section at 38weeks and thinks they have made a mistake and Im now convinced when I go in for my pre op they are gonna delay me. Id be hysterical! x

Its horrible. I just wish they had booked 'too many' in for that day! xx

Its not like its an airline where overbooking is 'acceptable'...

Is there something you can do to take your mind off the negatives though? Maybe a list of all the things that OH can do in those 2 extra days? Nothing distracts me more than creating a nice list of work for my hubby (or really anyone else!)

aw i'd feel for you i'd be gutted too you get the date in your head and that is it isn't it!! so annoying i get my date in 2 weeks hopefully all will be ok hope all goes well hun x

Agreed. Overbooking as an excuse is really kind of lame if you ask me.

I know. I did say I wanted to keep at thr 17th until i had spoke to my mw but they called me back few hours later saying my slot for the monday had been cancelled. xx
