my day 21 progesterone level was 168!

hi

have posted this in ttc forum too but thought id put it in here too as you lttc girlies may be able to help more....has anyone experienced high levels while on clomid?

had results back from doc & it was 168! i just thought oh must be as im on clomid as heard it can raise the levels....i went to see a specialist yesterday as having a lap done in new year & he looked at results...was 64 in aug when i wasnt on clomid. he asked if i thought i was preg & i said well im due on Christmas eve/ Christmas day......then he said clomid can slightly iincrease it. Nothing more was mentioned about it & when we got home my dh was looking up on the internet bout that level.....everything he found was positive things about being pregnant!! i dont wanna get my hopes up but its sooo hard not to!! ive ususally got real bad back ache by now, a sign im gonna start spotting & af will come. havent got back ache tho im wondering if the vit b complex pills may be causing a delay in the spotting & af?? ooohhhh im no way gonna test, im gonna be good xx

when are you testing?
I'm not on clomid but last cycle my results were 117 wheich doc was saying is really high and i wasn't pregnant - hope you are luckier than me!

FX that you get a BFP, but my understanding is that progesterone is not an accurate marker for pregnancy. I think with clomid its more likely to be high if several eggs pop out. Good luck!

well my spotting started last night so im assuming af will arrive like normal 2moro have all the aches & pains like usual & even did a test last night just to be 100% sure...BFN. Was very upset & couldnt sleep well at all last night.....woke up at 3am & just layed there thinking why me??? why is is not happening for us?? on to 17th cycle it is im waiting for date to have a lap & dye, been told it should be end jan/feb time. Depending on outcome we agreed last night that if the lap goes well & shows nothing we will go ahead with iui in march....im so gutted im not preg this mth but trying to stay positive, i have a beautiful 4 year old daughter & a lovely husband....we will have an amazing xmas i know....& hopefully 2010 will our lucky year merry christmas to everyone xxx

Good luck! Many ladies get a bfp the cycle after a lap and dye as it flushes the tubes (so to speak!), FX that it gives you the boost you need if you dont get a BFP in the meantime.

Wow that is high! Mine was 54 at 7 dpo and my OB was shocked and thought I was pg. with a level that high. I wasn't though AF finally came at 18 dpo. I released two 30mm and 34mm follies so that could be the cause.

Dancingkaty, I am so sorry that AF may be starting. I get so upset every month too. We are going on cycle 15 if this month doesn't work out. All of our tests have turned up nothing so I don't know why it is taking us so long. Next month we will try IUI if no bfp this month. Good luck and I'm sorry it has been so long for you guys. I sure hope 2010 is lucky for us!!
