I love the title of her thread. I get squeamish reading all the stories over and over again about the amount of pain people are in. I want to read about women who can and did do it naturally. I'm sure she didn't mean to offend anyone, she just wanted to encourage those of us that want to do it naturally that we can! :)

agree its good to read a nice storey just implies most with bad ones are lying ie dont believe them. Thats all.

Wow! Love it! It's great to hear that some births can be straightforward and positive! I can only hope my home birth is as great as this! Well done!

And a big well done for managing to get hold of your OH! A close call there!

I don't think it implies that difficult or traumatic birth stories are liars at all! Merely trying to reassure those of us who are rapidly approaching the big day that we could be lucky enough to have a fast, straightforward, comfortable birth. I'm sorry, I see nothing to be upset about in that title at a point where a lot of us are worrying about labour and birth

Well done Babydreams, now let me see that gorgeous boy in his iCandy! xx

Well done Babydreams, thankyou for such an inspiring story :flower: I hope you're very proud of yourself for doing such a good job (and being so brave when you were on your own for those few hours!) You are an inspiration x

wow what an amazing birth story, sounds fantastic i'm very envious!!!! And well done for labouring without pain relief i really really hope i can do the same at my home birth xxx He is gorgeous!!!!

Congratulations! I know how it is; I have three boys already and the last two have been precipitous labours, one mild contraction and then 15-30 minutes later suddenly contractions with no space in between whatsoever; really scary. I have a home birth booked but not sure whether it would be better or to try and get to the hospital at the first twinge; last time the MWs took ages to arrive and didn't bring the gas and air attachment, I live in a more outlying area now than then and there are strict parking restrictions around here as well.

Sorry if i offended you with the title Dragonfly that wasnt my intention at all ( to imply some ladies are lying ) ... as i wrote in response to another girl earlier - respect to women who go through these 24 hour+ labours!! Theyre amazing!!

As storm4mozza & jenniflower have suggested, i was merely trying to put peoples minds at rest at this stage of labour - that there are SOME great births for a lucky number...

Thanks Tulip - took him out for his first icandy adventure yday..me & OH spent so long trying to fafff wih carseat etc etc we forgot to buy a ticket & got a parking fine....grrrr!!!! That'll teach us!! Loving it though, will post a piccie asap :winkwink:

Wow what a beautiful birth story. Congratulations on the birth of your baby boy :hugs::hugs:

I have to admit, up to this point I have avoided reading birth stories as I am still scared silly about the whole dealing with the pain/birth part and also everyones labour experiences are so different. But your story was lovely and refreshing. Congratulations on the birth of your son Harry I am really happy for you that it was such an enjoyable experience. There is hope for the rest of us eh! :)

xxx

Babydreams he is one handsome little man! Well done on the birth, and even bigger well done remembering where OH was working that day!

congratulations :hugs:
