Hello fertility world! My name is Laura and I have been trying to get pregnant for over a year and 3 months now. We just had our first visit at the fertility clinic today and my partner's sperm is good so that's a relief. I now will be starting my blood tests, ultrasounds and HSG to make sure everything is ok with me. It feels strange to have been actively trying this long with no pregnancies. It seems you spend your whole young life avoiding getting pregnant and assume it should be easy when you want to! Anyway, if anyone has similar stories, please feel free to respond.

Thanks!

Welcome! You'll find lots of company here. I have only been NTNP, not actively TTC yet so I haven't got any experience in that area, I just wanted to say hi and welcome! :flower:

Welcome...im a newbie here too!
I feel the same way! All these years thinking it can happen that "one time" and now that we want it its taking its dear old time. Go figure...its weird how things work out.
Baby dust to you!!

Hi there, welcome to the forum. I'm new here, too. Here's my story. W have been TTC for a bit less than a year. I've never been on the pill, but we used other protection. Now that I think back, I wish we weren't so careful, I wouldn't mind having "an accident" in my arms right now.
I'm almost 33 and my BF is the same age. We're still young enough but we don't have all the time in the world.
My BF got checked this week and he checked out fine. So it's up to me now. I have a regular check-up in August so I'll wait till then. I'm still hoping I get pregnant before then as I don't have any obvious problems. We'll see.
Baby dust to all.

Welcome - I am new too!

I went off BC last June and feel like we started to try last November but its just this month that I stepped it up. I totally agree with you about how its so bizarre that you try and avoid getting pregnant for all this time and then when you want to, you realize its a little more complicated then just having unprotected sex

I actually felt angry when I learned all about fertility and realized that it would take a little more than my DH just breathing on me - I felt like society had made it sound so dang easy and here I am a year since going off BC and no dice :(

Hello Girls! I think I am somewhere between NTNP and TTC, I am 31 and mu husband is going to be 33 this year, and we have been married for a year and a bit. I totally agree that all you hear from when you are a teenager onwards is that "yoy should be careful as you can get pregnant at ANY time".
Well what a pile of rubbish, we have been NTNPBSWAB (not trying not preventing but still wanting a Baby!) since last August and nothing. It is sooooo frustratiing sometimes!
I am trying not to get obsessed with it, but it is hard to get my mind off it when everyone around me is either pregnant or giving birth..
Oh well, here's to all us of being pregnant soon! :)

i know how you feel!!! have been a good girl, took my pill everyday when i was young and wild. now down my degree, got a job, mortgage, want to have a family and its not as easy as thought!!! im new too, you'll find some good tips on her. we've been ttc for just over 2 years now so good luck for us both!!

It's so nice to hear from others and that I'm not alone in this TTC world. Just got my period yesterday and didn't take it all that well. I think I need to just step back and not stress about it so much. It's so hard not to have any control in this! But I guess nature will just take its course and when the time is right, we'll be blessed. :) Baby dust to all of you!

Hi Laura! I'm new here too- just joined today! Been ttc for 8 months now and my cycles have been really irregular since stopping the pill, it's frustrating. I thought this forum would be a good idea since my husband thinks i'm slightly obsessed about this whole ttc thing and thinks I'm stressing over it too much- but we're the ones that have to think about it everyday and keep track of our cycles and ovulation! Glad that there are other women in the same boat with me!
