this month is my first time using opks. is the control to the left and the test to the right? if im correct does this mean its a positve?

Yes the control line is always next to the colored handle. And that's CRAZY positive. What CD are you on and how long are your cycles normally?

thanks this is my first time doing this and i had hope i was reading the instructions correctly. my cycle is usually 31days. i believe is 14CD. Im new to this so im hoping im counting correctly.

Keep testing. Next month, try starting earlier in your cycle (maybe around CD10)...that way you will be able to see your LH surge progression.
