My follow up Gyno visit - a bit annoyed.

Sounds awful, some of these pricks! I have no clue how they become REs with absolutely no empathy and so very little knowledge!

I had a brief encounter with an idiot a few months back. We were considering a second go at IVF right after the first and went to see the RE at this fancy perfect numbers clinic. She looked at the papers for about 5 seconds then said:

"Ah so no wonder you are not pregnant, your BMI is huge, you can't get pregnant if you don't lose weight! And no one will do IVF either"

I sat there dumbfounded.... I couldn't believe she could be such an idiotic cow! I wanted to shake her "Lady! Get a brain! We have no sperm, my curves are the last of our problems! And btw, a clinic with better reading skills than yours just performed ICSI on us and guess what, it even worked for a bit!" I did lodge a complaint and got my money back though.

Some people shouldn't be dermatologists leave alone infertility specialists!

Good for you for standing your ground and fingers very crossed for the lap!

How awful Neyney. That is a terrible way to treat a patient - especially the pregnant doctor, she should have been a lot more tactful. I hope you get down the waiting list soon and have the success you deserve.

Ohmygod NeyNey that is outrageous. Good you told that dr that you didnt think the treatment was working ...what a complete prick that it took you to shout and scream at him before he put you on this waiting list for lap and dye...and even then he may not have!! I would def go elsewhere and e-mail that other dr you've been told about.

And that pregnant woman what an idiot....i got a man dr telling me on my appointment 'dont worry your still young it'll happen for you' I gave him the dirtiest look i could muster and said 'excuse me, i am 30 and have been trying for nearly 3 years so don't give me any 'bullshit' about it'll happen cos i wouldn't have come here otherwise, so just do your job and tell me what the procedure is'...then he just said 'oh well unless you get the tests done then i cant put you on any treatment' so i said 'tell me what tests i need doing and stop wasting my time'. The dr just thoutght I had an attitude problem but they dont understand hiw stressful it is! Cos I HAD done these blood tests from Gp and OH had SA done at Gp but he wasnt accepting it and said i needed to have them done at this clinic in their lab or he wouldn't put us on any treatment. My OH was sooo annoyed as I had got him to take the day off work saying it was really important and it was a waste of time cos now we have to go for these tests and go back again! The clinic make you feel like an outcast if you go alone and not with hubby but half the time they really dont need to be there.
