my friend *update*

So my friends water broke at 33 weeks.
the hospital they sent her to wouldnt deliver her baby until 34 weeks.
well she had to have a C-Section today when she was 34 weeks.
her and the baby are both doing okay.
baby has a nice set of lungs
Well here is the best part.
The little guy weighed 7lbs 3oz and 17in long
they think thats why her water might of broke.
there wasnt that much room left,

Update
The baby was only 5lbs 3oz.
the girl that let us all know put the wrong thing.
He was only 5 not 7lbs

Awww wow thats good news the baby was healthy! Do they think they might of had the dates wrong or something?

Agree, if he had healthy lungs and weighed that much, he must have been full term. Pre-term babies often don't have surfactant in their lungs (a protein that helps them breathe, I believe). I think the creation of surfactant is usually what triggers labor (in most cases). I would guess the dates were wrong. Glad he is healthy though!
