Okay so I hear the word diet is bad and can make people cave more easily. Now I am notorious for failed "diets" ... I cut out foods I love - pizza, chocolate, crisps, burgers, spaghetti, ice cream, cake .... sorry I got side tracked by the food  Well I heard a life style change is more beneficial. I'm not really sure what to start with, I use to be a size 10-12 and weight 11 stone when I was a 10-12 (I'm naturally pretty heavy) ... over the years I have just gained and gained weight, I am now 14 stone :( My BMI is 31.6 and calculated as obese
We are hopefully getting married on the 10th of December 2016 so I want to look my best, also I want to be healthier for trying for a baby so I should really get my finger out and do something about it!
People say it is easy to lose weight, eat less move more, but I struggle and always have. at 14 I was a size 16 and lost it all (not healthily) down to a size 10-12 by the time I was 15 and a half and kept it off until about a year ago and then I just put it all back on and so quickly too :nope:
I want to exercise and do classes but don't think I can afford classes or a membership. I like walking but it gets dark so early and your best not to walk in the dark in my area alone.
The steps to take first I think are to cut down take aways and fizzy juice, right now I only drink fizz and eat 3+ takeaways a week, I'm aiming to cut take aways to one a month and fizzy to one diet fizz a day with my dinner.
Another step will be to replace daily chocolate with grapes/strawberries/apple cinnamon snacks and I will allow one piece of chocolate a week.
I will cut crisps down to one a week and replace my unhealthy crisps with the healthier ones.
Chocolate yogurts with greek yogurt mixed with fruit.
Try and cook more home made meals, aim for 4 home made and 3 ready made a week (work and college can be tricky hence why I always opt for fast food :( )
So this is my starting point, my goal is to get down to 10 and a half stone by June 2016. So I have 1 year and 9 months to lose 3 and a half stone.
If anyone has any tips like fun exercise and tasty healthy meals/treats feel free

Hey Kiki,

That sounds like a good plan and you sound super motivated!

I also am limited in exercise i can do - wee baba so can't get out to classes and walking is based around her eating, playing, sleeping schedule.

I am doing two exercise dvds - Darcey Bussell Pilates for Life which is not too difficult. I have been doing it six days a week for about a month and it is getting easier all the time.

I have also started Davina Body Buff - it is tougher and I am mostly out of puff but I am determined to try my best.

It took me over three years to conceive my daughter, I had almost given up hope. It wasn't until I limited sugar, cut out caffeine, took vitamin tabs and started running that I fell pregnant. Within a few months of cleaning up my act, I had lost weight and felt really well and less stressed. I actually had the positive pregnany test the very morning I was due to see a fertility specialist!

Every day you make a small change for the good, it will all soon add up.
I wish you the best of luck in your journey!

Thanks :) I have been doing okay, I have had unhealthy food this week but I have also had a lot of good food, I have tried by having one very healthy lunch or dinner e.g. tuna salad, soup etc and then having one of my normal foods for the other main meal just to ease myself into it rather than throw myself in the deep-end :haha: an example of my food for a day was toast with peanut butter but instead of white bread i had wholemeal, tuna salad for lunch and then chicken wrap for dinner. Another example is cereal, soup, and then burgers for tea and been having 1 cup of diet fizz a day instead of my usual 8 cups/cans of full fat coke  I had a takeaway with the family but instead of my usual 12 inch pizza to myself i had a chicken wrap and replaced the white wrap with my wholemeal ones here.
It seems to be working i'm not tempted for a massive take away where i have a massive pizza, chips and then snack on crap and i've been sticking to meals and not snacking loads
So far I have already lost half a stone :happydance:
I can't believe I lost so much already but people do say the first week is when more comes off? Anyway every sunday my family have a fry up and I'm going to have that still, replacing the white toast with wholemeal and sausages with quorn ones and then having normal blackpudding and haggis :haha: then soup for tea.
Pretty pleased with my progress, I know this fry up might be bad but if i don't have it i will end up justifying not having one as a reason to have a massive take away and loads of snacks etc :haha: I don't feel like i've changed much which is what i need, i hate feeling like i have changed my whole eating habits when i diet so i'm enjoying the fact i'm losing weight and only really replacing one meal with a super healthy option, the rest i am having the same food but just replacing one tiny thing to make it healthier but not completely different
Happy with my progress so far :happydance:
I think I'll go into town and buy a fitness dvd like the davina one so i can do it a few days a week :)
