This is a very short story honestly, there's not a lot to it!
Monday October 21st, crampy all day but constant pain, more like trapped wind.
About 10pm start bleeding red when I wipe - wonder what it is!
11:30pm, start having regular contractions, 5 minutes apart immediately.
I rang L&D they said go in when they are 2-3 minutes apart.
Stayed home, until 4am when I could not take any more pain (I'm a giant wimp!) and wanted to go to hospital.
Got to hospital at 5am. Tried to monitor baby, but he wasn't co-operating. Midwife examined me. 5cm. Asked for epidural (as I said, I'm a wimp).
Didn't even get the equipment for the epidural in the room let alone anywhere near me before I was screaming and had a huge contraction, waters popped, I started pushing, by the time the midwife checked the head was on its way out.
Had to do the whole "start and stop pushing" stuff as the cord was around his neck, but it was all over really fast. Had only even been at the hospital 45 minutes, 5cms to born in that time is pretty damn fast. Also he was back to back, and that frikking hurt! Silly upside down baby![Stick Out Tongue :P :P](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f61b.png)
Had gas and air, but quite frankly it was rubbish! I just kept puffing on it hoping to get high and forget the pain![Wink ;) ;)](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
And that was that, Seth Phoenix born on 22nd October at 05:44am weighing a rather hefty 8lb 12!
We got home about 2pm (only have to stay 6 hours if all is well), 9 hours after getting to the hospital. Pretty quick turn around![Baby :baby: :baby:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/baby.gif)
