My Miracle Journey

Good morning!!!

So, I have something that has been weighing on my mind and I want to share it so you can pray for me.

When we were at the Dr's office on Tuesday, my husband asked him when will we get to a place in the pregnancy where it will be a "safe zone", pretty much asking when will we know all 3 are going to make it. The Dr gave an answer I wasn't ready for, he said when you hit 28 weeks. If I were to go into preterm labor before that, the chances of the babies surviving are minimal and if the do survive, have a greater chance of having some sort of health problem or disability. The Dr said he was seeing a patient who was pregnant with quadruplets and that at 20 weeks her body decided it was time to give birth. They couldn't stop the labor and she delivered all babies and none made it.

The Dr said that is why I have visits almost every 2 weeks, so he can check the length of my cervix. Once the cervix starts getting shorter and shorter until a certain point, that means that your body is ready to go into labor. So now I feel the pressure because it's my body.

Please pray that my body doesn't go into labor or start having contractions until my babies are past the 32 week mark, when everything in their little bodies have fully formed and developed. Please pray that I will have complete peace that everything will go well and in July I will see 3 healthy babies.

My husband said we are not in the safe zone until the babies are in our arms and even then we will have something to worry about. He was telling me how when Tay was a baby he would just look at her sleeping in the crib and think...please God, keep her safe and don't let anything happen to her.

If you know any more prayer warriors or are part of a church, please fill free to put a prayer request in for me. I need all the prayers I can get. I need my body to hold on to these little ones.

How far along: 12 weeks!!!
Weight gain/loss: 12 lbs lost
Maternity clothes: YES! Still wearing the maternity pants.
Changes in Body: The lower part of my stomach is starting to feel hard.
Sleep: My sleep is not good right now since I caught a cold from hubby
Best moment this week: Telling my mom we are having triplets
Miss Anything? YES….FOOD!!!
Movement: Nope
What size is the baby? The size of a lime
Food cravings: Not yet
Anything making you queasy or sick: Weird smells, the thought of food with a lot of flavor, waiting too long in between eating.
Have you started to show yet? It looks like I'm more full looking between my tummy pooch and my chest. Still weigh the same as last week.
Gender prediction: 2 boys and a girl
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On and have to wear it on my other hand because it’s too loose to wear on my wedding finger.
Happy or Moody most of the time: A little more moody since I have this cold to go along with the morning sickness.
Looking forward to: My Nuchal scan on Friday. The ultrasound will take about 45min to an hour, which means nothing but looking at babies

Here is a slideshow hubby and I put together of our IVF journey last year and this is what we showed my mom. We had to edit the slideshow after, so this is the edited version, because she couldn't figure out there were 3, so we had to specifically label them on the ultrasound...Baby A, Baby B and Baby C. When it got to the part where the Dr was doing the ultrasound, she had a confused look on her face. She goes, "Twins?" we said no. "what do you mean no? I see 2" NO..lol! Triplets??? YES! lol! then she laughed...Oh my gosh! Triplets!!! She is very excited and said she is moving in for 2 months when they are born to help me out

By the way, you may need a tissue when watching this. I'm so glad my hubby took pics and video clips during this process so we were able to make this slideshow. enjoy!

I have the same reaction. I look at it as if it's not me, like wow...what this girl has gone through and to make it through with the support of family, friends and of course God. It's definitely a surreal experience and I can't believe we started this process a year ago.

I pray that my testimony will help women all over the world and that God will be glorified.

I'm doing good thanks, have been wrestling with a bit of anxiety but had a good chat with Father about it yesterday and feeling much better! I need to stay in the place where I know that He can do it and I need to trust Him, the burden is not mine to carry.. I have my 20 week anomaly scan on Monday, so I'm trusting that will go well and that's one more milestone out of the way. Thank you for asking

It's so hard when you have absolutely no control over the situation, isn't it? But thankfully we serve a mighty God who takes care of us and wants us to place our cares and burdens on Him.

Yay for anatomy scan!!! Mine is on March 28th and we are really anxious to know who is in there Please let us know what you're having, it's such an exciting time. Plus you don't have to keep referring to the little one as baby, you can call him or her by name...well, that's if you have names already

AHHH!!! 12 weeks! I can't see the video at work so I'll have to watch it at home. Probably better anyway so I'm not a blubbering mess in front of my staff, lol. Love the pic and update though. Got home and the first thing I did was watch the video. LOVED IT!!! Absolutely amazing! My hubbs even watched it and thought it was pretty amazing too...and nothing amazes him, lol. I loved the end with your hubbs listening to the heartbeats!
