My baby girl Lara Suzanne was born on 4th July weighing 5lbs 13oz full term. What an amazing experience I had. Only just finished my birth story now and have posted it in births & announcements.
Good luck everyone. Xxx
Little tips in a random order:
Have an open mind when it comes to your birth plan because you won't know what you'll need till the time.
Buy loads of maternity pads. I found Boots ones the best.
Buy arnica tablets for bruising down below.
Practice doing everything with one hand for when baby arrives.
When being stitched up after birth ask for the gas & air.
Buy over sized nighties for hospital for skin to skin ( great for breast feeding too)
Bring your own pillow for sleeping after birth. Hospital ones here are plastic.
Bring your own towel. Hospital ones are tiny and hard.
Wear whatever you like in the birthing pool.
Remember how ever painful the contractions are to relax, deep breath & remember you'll have a break after each one.
The tens machine feels awful until you actually need it when contractions start.
