My parents reaction

I text my dad on fathers day to tell him I was pregnant - he didn't text back and it was only when I rang him he acknowledged he got it. I am very close to my dad and I was really upset.

I avoided talking to my mum only speaking to her today - she and I don't always see eye to eye and we rub each other up the wrong way (although I love her dearly) anyway she was REALLY supportive - saying she wasn't suprised just surprised it was so quick (I got my bfp on the 1st year anniversary of our baby sons funeral). She even said she would wash all the baby clothes (she took all the stuff I bought for William to wash and iron and have ready incase he came early - sadly he came before she had got it back and then didn't need it )

Total turn around, its like my parents have had a personality swap...

You're dad is probably worried for you - I bet he is pleased too but seeing his daughter going through such devistation must be hard as well. I am glad your mum is being supportive - maybe it's a new era in your relationship with her
