Hi all.
So, we've decided to not really discuss our possible baby names with anyone, as to be honest I don't think people will particularly like them and I can't be doing with seeing their faces when we say what we are thinking of ha ha! But, I do want to share them with someone other than DH, and I am struggling to chose between a couple of girl names at the moment (and I don't mind you lot telling me what you think)!
We have a DD called Madeline Diane (Diane after my mum who has passed away) - so the names obviously need to go with that. Also, we are Welsh and would like a Welsh name this time.
So, for a boy we have:
Macsen James Francis - Macsen is pronounced as it's spelt and is Welsh for Maximus or Maximillan. I absolutely love it - it's not a name that is really heard of anywhere except Wales and even then, I think there were only 30 or so born last year in the UK. James is my DH and my brother's middle name and Francis is my DH's grandfathers name. We were trying to choose between them but we like both so I think we are going with them.
For a girl I am struggling to choose between:
Betsi Jayne
Betsi Charlotte
Meredith Jayne
I adore both Betsi and Meredith - and really cannot choose. I think they both go well with Madeline. The only thing that slightly puts me off Meredith is that poor girl Meredith Kercher who was murdered in Spain. This wouldn't normally be an issue but when we were thinking of Madeline a few people mentioned Madeline McCann - and so would it be weird to have Madeline and Meredith considering what happened to both of them??
Middle names wise - my first name is Jayne and middle name Charlotte - both these names were from my great grandmothers on each side, so there is a family connection that I would like to carry on.
Bit of an essay there sorry! So, all thoughts welcome...
UPDATE:
We have a third girls name to add to the list. While it's not Welsh, we both love it and so have an even harder choice now. More opinions welcome!
Marcella (possibly shortened to Marcie).
