Its been over 2 weeks since I posted. It all seems like a blur.. I was having my fetal monitoring done and LOs heart rate started to dip. Next thing I know I'm told not to eat and taken to my hospital.
I was further monitored for 6 hours before allowed to go home only to have to come in again the next morning. I didnt think anything of it. I went back 9am the next morning and again his heart rate was dipping so they wheeled me in for an emergency c section.
Dreas George Dyett was born 8th March at 5:34pm weighing 5lbs 14 oz.
He was perfect. He came out and cried for a little before they placed him on my chest. He was born with a full head of black hair and once in recovery he had his first breast feed.... only to have him being taken to special care nursery and put on a c pap machine and in an incubator because his oxygen levels were dropping. It was heartbreaking to see but he is such a little fighter. He was taken off everything after 3 days then developed mild jaundice and was under the blue lights for a day.
He was in special care nursery for a week before being discharged. Ive been home with him over a week now and we are doing great. He is breastfeeding like a champ and I am loving every single moment, cracked nipples and all.
