my son just turned 1.. should i stop formula and give cows milk?

hi ladies,

my son just turned 1 and he is on novalac formula. i want to switch to either a 'growing up milk formula' or cows milk....

not sure which is better and how to make the transition to a new formula or cows milk?

any thoughts or advice?

Save your money and switch to cows milk

I just gave her a bottle of cow's milk to see if she would take it. She did with no problems and then I sway out her meal one by one until she ran out of formula.

I asked my GP about the difference between growing up milk and cow's milk. And she said the growing up milk has extra iron in it. I ask asked her if it was necessary to have extra iron. She said that most babies have iron deficiencies and that there is no proof that adding iron changes anything for the baby. She thinks it's just a marketing thing and pointed out that growing up milk is only a recent thing and that babies did fine without it before.
