My tommee tipped steriliser melted!

My steriliser burnt at the bottom , went brown and melted the plastic inside. It was a steam one aswell not even a microwave one , this happens to anyone else?

if the correct amount of water isnt in there - then it will go brown and melt.

id throw the bottles and teats away as well if i was you as the burning plastic fumes might be impregnated in them

Once I forgot to put the water in my TT steriliser and it actually switched itself off. Now the switch light is not working (but the steriliser is working) I have lost the receipt otherwise I would take it back.
