Name association

At the moment I am 24+4 weeks expecting my first child a baby boy due early June.

Both me and my bf really like the name Cooper but I cannot help but associate it with someone I knew at school who's last name it was.

My bf said that I am being silly because I do like the name and we have no other go to's just yet so I keep telling myself to stop overthinking it!

We are waiting until our little boy is here to confirm name but I just want to be sure is that too much to ask?

I really am overthinking it...

Did you have a positive association with that person? If so, why not?

Maybe there's another name similar to Cooper that you can agree on... Connor? Carter? Casper? Parker? Archer? There are lots of -er names to pick from these days...
