name change?

I sent a message (through the Contact Us) link two days ago about a name change and I was wondering when I could expect to hear back about it.

I'd really appreciate the change, thanks for the help.

I'd pm wobbles directly explaining your reasons. I believe they only change names in certain circumstances

The team are very busy just now and the Contact Us form is sufficient. Like previous posters have said, name changes are only given in exceptional circumstances and duplicate accounts (as you know) are not permitted.

I have a few things to say here.
First, every other site I am on allows name changes at your own leisure. Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, as well as numerous forums, Blogger.

I've been an active member on BnB since 2010 - it is NOT clearly stated anywhere when you first create your BnB account that the name you choose is your be-all end-all name. Neither is it stated anywhere (for instance, in the form when you open your account) that one is not allowed to close your account and start a new one, etc.

I understand that the mods and admins are busy, but based on my experience on other sites I really don't think that changing the name on an account should be such a big deal.

It's just about making me want to leave the site completely - I really only come here now for my journals.

This may seem like a couple of seconds to you but we have thousands of users logging in per day and if it was a free for all to change your names whenever you wanted I'd be doing it all day but this is not the only reason we do not change usernames.
