I have first names picked out (both for a girl and a boy), but I'm needing some advice for middle and last names. The father and I are not married. We aren't "officially" together either. I have a more unusual last name, Droege (pronounced with a long o sound, and a hard g sound) while he has a more common one, Baker. I haven't yet decided whose name I am going to give our baby.

Boy:
Roman Andrew
Roman Isaac
Roman Emerson
Roman Jacob
Roman Seth

Girl:
Aisley Elaine
Aisley Danielle

Different suggestions for middle names are certainly welcome. Also, which last name would you go with, and why? Thank you for your opinions. :flower:

I think if the father is in the baby's life, then I'd go with that. I'm more of a traditionalist though, so people might disagree with me on this one.

I'm liking Roman Jacob if you use your last name, and Roman Seth if using his last name.

Aisley Danielle is my favourite, although I'm not sure if I'm pronouncing Aisley correctly?

I loooove the name Roman, my OH has a cousin named Roman or else I would've stolen it for my boy name. Roman Isaac is my favorite..

I could be wrong, but is that pronounced like (eyes-lee)? If so I like Elaine or even possibly Marie as a middle name. Good luck choosing names for me is the hardest part

I prefer your last name just because it's cool, no reflection of the situation with the father. I'm liking Roman Issac and Roman Emerson either way though. I like Aisley Elaine :)

Thanks for the input guys. I pronounce Aisley with an "a" sound, not an "e" sound. I probably should have clarified that.

I'm not sure how Aisley is pronounced, is it like Paisley without the P? If so I like Aisley Danielle best. For a boy I like Roman Seth.

I've heard the names Ainsley & Aislyn - but never Aisley - it's pretty though. I'm pronouncing it like Paisley, minus the "P."

I vote for:

Roman Andrew Droege
Aisley Danielle Droege

In my opinion, children should always have the same last name as their mother. I was single when I gave birth to my son, and never dreamed of giving him his father's last name. I'm very thankful now that he is older and in school... I would hate filling out school records, medical records, etc and he and I having diff last names. Just my personal preference.

Addt'l suggestions:

Aisley Christine
Aisley Nicole
Aisley Noelle
Aisley Jane
Aisley Shea
Aisley Rose

I think all your middle name choices go well with Roman, except for Seth.

I have an ainsley elece so I prefer aisley Elaine. I prefer your last name for the baby. Like pp said mom and baby should have the same last name. Its easier in the long run too

I would pronounce it as Ashley, as the Irish name Aisling is an "ash" sound.

I like Roman Isaac and Aisley Elaine. I prefer your last name.
