Were debating for a girl out of Layla or Kaitlyn, what do you prefer?

I prefer Layla - depends on your surname I suppose aswell. I read that if your surname begins with a vowel the first name shouldn't end in a vowel but who are 'they' to judge

I like Layla better.

I used to want Caitlyn as a name for my daughter, but that and variations of it are so popular.. and choosing a name that isn't "all the rage" is somewhat important to me, not that I want something obscure either.

Layla I;ve only ever known one Layla, so to me it's not as common. Both are pretty though.

I love both, but I know several of each on this site.
Although kaitlyn can be spelled millions of different ways Caitlyn,kaitlin,kaytlin, caitlynne etc maybe that would be a better choice, xx
just makesure if you choose kaitlyn your surname isnt waitlin, or layla mailer lol

Thats what puts me off Kaitlyn a lil bit as there is soo many Kaitlyn's now and Rich's cousin is Kaitlyn, I only know one Layla and thats my Oh's sisters, mates baby. We can't really agree on girls name lol

I am naming my baby girl Layla Louise i am bias and i love that name...... But it is becoming more and more popular!!!!! But nothing is changing my mind on her name
