Hiya, so Kaya's naming day is the 29th March and I'm trying to think of some promises that I can make to her. I've written the supporting adults promises -

I ___________ make these promises to you, Kaya, in front of these witnesses.

I promise to always be there for you, even when you push me away.
I promise to be a voice for you when you feel silenced.
I promise to be a safe place for you wen you fall out with your mum and dad.
I promise to always remain in touch with you throughout your life.
I promise to be a source of information and advice whenever you need me.
I promise to always remember your birthday.

(please add one or two promises of your own)

Kaya, I will keep these promises to the best of my ability.

But I've still to come up with my promises. I've got a couple of ideas - promising to always keep a roof over her head, loving her unconditionally, promising to give her the skills and knowledge that she will need to do whatever she wants to in life.
What do you think? Do you have any suggestions?

How nice is that

I'll have a think ive got brain freeze right now

xx

That is really lovely!

We had a naming party for my niece/god daughter recently and they included the we promise to babysit whenever asked!

you have some lovely promises already.

Promise that my ear will always be available to listen
Promise that my arms will always be there to cuddle you and comfort you

errmmmmm....

I promise to always laugh at your jokes...

I promise to believe in you no matter what.
I promise to see the best in you.
I promise to acknowledge your pain, your sorrow and your joys.
I promise to keep your secrets.
I promise to share my talents, strengths with you.
I promise to applaud your success and help you overcome challenges.
