My 7yo's first name (Benjamin) came from flipping through Genesis (his biological father picked it out) and his middle name (Lino) is his paternal grandfather's first name. My 6yo's name is Donald Jack Jr. (named for my grandfather but a jr instead of a II so that no one would pick on him) I decided while I was preggos with Ben that my first girl will be Rebecca Louisa for my grandmother (Becky Lou). I may be preggo right now and am having to think about boy names. He wants Medardo (his name, which is a name that is passed down through his family to one boy every generation) and the nickname Lalo (also his own nickname).. I don't have a problem with the name or the nickname. I just have a problem living with two people with the EXACT same names and nicknames; it's too confusing!! Any advice for me? Even an alternate nickname would work, but I can't come up with one... HELP!!

I'm like you, I wouldn't want two family members with the same name, unless they were cousins who wouldn't see each other very often. Some possible nicknames for Medardo:
Eddie
Daro (daa-ro)
Edar (pronounced like Ed-aar)
Mero (Meh-ro)

I think Ardo or Eddie can work as nicknames?

Where does the nickname Lalo come from??
